Pete Tychsen
President & Founder
The President and Founder of Preservation Financial Group, Pete has been helping people with their retirement strategy since 1987.
He is a licensed insurance agent and licensed financial advisor. His practice, which he opened in 1996, focuses on the areas of IRA/401(k) distribution, tax strategies, asset protection, and retirement income planning.
Pete works hard to help his clients:
- Avoid needless taxation on IRAs/retirement accounts
- Protect their principal and create a retirement income
- Avoid unnecessary risks with their retirement assets
- Use income strategies to build a lasting legacy for children and grandchildren
- Make complex retirement information simple and fun
Pete regularly conducts seminars on a variety of financial topics to help the public. He is a Florida State University(FSU) alumnus and a student of macroeconomics, finance, insurance, and investments. As a financial advisor for people at or nearing retirement, Pete takes this duty seriously but educates clients in a fun and engaging way.
Mr. Tychsen lives in the Tallahassee area with his wife, LeAnne, and they have five children: Andrew, Anna, Arden, Christopher, and Sarah. When not working to help plan the financial future of retirees, he enjoys involvement at his church, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Client Service Coordinator
Andrew Tychsen has worked as a Client Service Coordinator with Preservation Financial since 2019.
As one of Pete Tychen’s adult children, Andrew has “grown up” around the family business. His role includes assisting in seminar logistics, providing customer service, and assisting in processing applications and transactions for clients. In addition, he acts as a liaison between clients’ existing financial or insurance companies and Preservation Financial Group.
Known as a “people person,” Andrew loves having the opportunity to meet people and build connections with our clients. He is a licensed insurance agent in the state of Florida and Georgia (License #:W598999) and takes pride in his work. Andrew is a graduate of Tallahassee Community College (TCC), where he holds an Associates Degree. He also participates regularly in industry events and workshops, both online and in-person.
Like many of our clients, Andrew enjoys hunting and fishing. He also appreciates spending time with family and friends and is active in his local Church as well.
